Memorial And Honorary Giving

A memorial gift is a thoughtful and caring way to express sympathy, while supporting the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium and sharing concern for wildlife. We send you an acknowledgement of your gift, and we send the family or individual notification of your thoughtfulness. The gift is also acknowledged in Zoo Connections, our donor newsletter.

If you would like to have people send donations to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium in lieu of flowers or gifts, we can send you special envelopes for this purpose. Please contact our Development Office at 412-265-2541 or by e-mailing spoweska@pittsburghzoo.org.

In-Honor Giving
A tribute gift provides the unique opportunity to honor special people on birthdays, graduations, weddings, and other memorable occasions. It is a great way to show a family member or a friend to say thank you to someone whose generous spirit has touched your life and that you share and respect their love of wildlife and wild places.

We will send you an acknowledgement of your gift, and we will inform anyone you designate, without specifying the amount of the gift. The gift is also acknowledged in Zoo Connections, our donor newsletter.

Buy a Bench
For a donation of $5,000 you can honor a special person or occasion with a commemorative bench at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. A commemorative bench is a thoughtful and distinctive way to honor someone or a special occasion while helping to beautify the Zoo and enhance the Zoo visitor experience.
