Visit the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium's three premiere gift shops. Each shop carries an attractive selection of interesting and educational items with a wildlife and environmental theme. While on safari, be sure to stop at every location since most items are unique to each shop. A portion of the profits from the sales in our gift shops are used by the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium to help support its mission of education and conservation. All gift shops accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

The Village Outfitters is one of two gift shops located in the Safari Village near the entrance of the Zoo. This open-air shop features a wide selection of children's toys, plush animals, T-shirts and more. This shop is for the young and young at heart. It is a favorite shop for school groups and young families. The Village Outfitters is open daily, April through September, weather permitting.
The Safari Outpost is also located in the Safari Village. This unique shop offers top of the line gift items with jungle and rainforest themes. Come in and see our selection of framed art, apparel, realistic plush animals, jewelry, books, note cards and other fine gifts. A MAC machine, which operates from April 1 to October 31, is located at the entrance to this building. The Safari Outpost is open April through October and during special events throughout the year.
Our newest shop, called Current, is located in the PPG Aquarium. This spectacular new gift shop features an array of unique aquatic plush creatures, apparel, gifts for the home, books, jewelry and consignment artwork by regional artists.
Wagons, strollers and adult strollers can be rented at Safari Wheels from April through October. We are sorry, we do not rent electric wheelchairs. For more information, click on the Facilities link above.

Attention school groups, scouts, day care centers and camps! You can order gift/souvenir bags for each member of your group. These bags will be pre-assembled and ready to pick-up at either the beginning or end of your visit. There are a variety of price ranges and themes available to suit your needs.
